Youth Ministry
By Rick & Carolyn Bridge
March 25th
The youth group met at Talbot Gardens to watch a church family member's team win their first play off game!
Neil Shay
We then walked to the church where Neil Shay was our guest speaker. We opened sharing one good thing we were thankful since the last timee we met.
We asked Neil to share about when he was a kid and his life now. He explained how “Home for the Night" (warming centre) is run and his personal experience and tasks as a volunteer.
He reminded us how blessed we are to have loving supportive families. He also reminded us that the people in the warming center are real people. He sees the homeless through new eyes as he gets to know them.
We watched a 5 minute video on wise choices and were reminded that it matters who our friends are. We played an exciting basketball game: boys against the girls. Girls won 4-2 (thanks to Jude for joining in and helping out).
We closed in prayer remembering the scripture Neil shared with us about being servants and loving.

Thanks to the Rapley family for hosting us for a private viewing of The Jesus Revolution at the Strand Theatre.
Riversyde 83 Tour
We opened by sharing how life is going, then went for a tour to learn more about what Riversyde 83 has to offer, ordered drinks and yummy treats, and visited Joan in the “dish pit”. We learned about the history of the Bible and its authors, and closed by sharing a group prayer. The younger siblings joined in for the last little while.
