Vacation Bible School
Volunteers needed to prepare for VBS day camp!
We have recently learned that our application for summer student funding was put on a list called “approved if more funding becomes available”. We have been advised that more funding is not likely to come. This has never happened before, but we are adjusting.
VBS day camp will be able to proceed, but unfortunately there will not be a chance for a student to develop their skills.
How can you help?
- We are hosting several
decoration sessions to transform the sanctuary, gym, upstairs, downstairs, and
library area into an “outer space” theme.
- Thursday, July 13th from 6:30—9:00pm
- Tuesday, July 31st from 6:30—9:00pm
- Thursday, August 10th from 1:00-4:00pm and 6:30—9:00pm
- VBS week will need people
for registration day on
- We need leader snacks each day August 14th to 18th.
- We need food for the volunteer “thank you lunch and celebration” (approximately 25 people) on Friday, August 18th at 12:30.
- We need people to spread the word to families, parents, and grandparents – on social media or to put up posters.
