Youth Group Update
The youth group finished the year by zip lining at Long Point Eco-Adventures. Our leaders Patrick and Zack made it fun and extremely safe. They showed us how to stop and then do hand-over-hand to get to landing. We used a mini training line. There was a little bit of hesitation and fear, but everyone did it and they loved it.
We made T-shirts with verses from Isaiah, Psalms, Peter, Hebrews, and Deuteronomy; all about fear and how God is with us. We were given a gift certificate so we were able to go to the restaurant for french fries and pop. We missed Liam but we did however make him a T-shirt. Each youth also received a mini star trophy with their name on it and one word to describe what they brought to our group this past year. We're hoping to meet up once in August and resume our group in the fall. A big thank you to the Christian Education committee, to Shirley Cookson for all the emailing about the insurance needed to make this happen, and to Cindy and Kent Rapley for loaning us their van for transportation . It was a great time!
