1. Completing Life's Journey
Posted On: August 23, 2019
We are once again thrilled as a fellowship to host a special event on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st exploring how to live and die with illness and minister to families touched by the death or terminal illness of their loved one. First Baptist is partnering with Senior Support Services and numerous wonderful sponsors to bring this event at a very reasonable cost. Each day runs from 8:30am until 3:30pm and is $15 in advance or $20 at the door and includes a deliciously catered lunch. Registration is deeply appreciated and can be done on-line on the Completing Life's Journey website or by picking up a form in the church office. Hope to see many of you there. —Rev. Darrell Maguire
2. CWOP Worship Services
Posted On: August 19, 2019
The Caribbean Workers Outreach Program (CWOP) will be hosting worship services led by a Jamaican minister on Sunday evenings starting at 7:30pm on August 25th and September 1st at First Baptist Church. Everyone is welcome to attend. Volunteer drivers are needed to pick up workers from the area farms. Additional help is needed to provide refreshments on August 25th. Contact Wendy Squires or Lana Wallace if you can help out. Additional services will be hosted by other local churches. Please see the Calendar of Events for more details about these evening times of worship and fellowship.
3. Summer Office Hours
Posted On: July 1, 2019
The church office will be open 9:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays only for the months of July and August. If you need access to the building, please call ahead and leave a message. (Rev. Darrell Maguire will keep his regular offices hours Monday to Thursday unless he's away on vacation.)
Please note that the church roof will be replaced over the summer. While there will always be safe access to the building, please be aware of any potential saftey hazards when coming and going, and give the construction crew plenty of space to do their work. Thank you!
