CWOP Worship Services
Norfolk County and area is blessed with productive, fertile fields. There is a good reason that we are known as the breadbasket of southern Ontario. We are fortunate to have men and women who are willing to travel here and work these fields to bring the produce to market. They spend many months away from family and from their faith communities.
The CWOP, or Caribbean Workers Outreach Project, is a faith-based committee formed from a number of local congregations. There are many aspects to the support that they provide the workers. One significant way is to provide venues for Sunday evening worship services.
We, as fellow believers, are being asked to welcome and support these workers. How can we do this?
Can you offer transportation to and from the farms for the evening services?
HOST FAMILY needed!
The CWOP is also looking for a few families willing to host the minister for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. He will be coming here from the Caribbean. He will be here from August 7th until September 17th.
We are asking for volunteers to provide an evening snack after the service on August 25th here at First Baptist Church. That would involve juice, cheese and crackers, fruit trays (especially grapes and watermelon), cookies and other desserts.
If you are able to help out please contact Lana Wallace or Wendy Squires. Thank you for your support.
