Raptors Basketball in Toronto
March 8th

With faces painted to show our Raptor fan spirit, we had a group circle prayer for our day ahead. We headed to Oakville to catch the GO Train. After a safe arrival in Toronto, the group had dinner together before heading to the venue. It was a great game. Very close. We had a surprise visit from Alvin Lau of CBOQ Youth. He gave us all a tag from Blizzard that can be used as a keychain or backpack tag with the words “Celebrating Youth”. With 2.3 seconds left the Raptors scored to pull a one point lead from a one point behind position. But the Washington Wizards contested the basket and a replay showed them to be right. Toronto had lost 118 to 117. Walking back to the GO we saw a young fellow playing his guitar and singing. We quickly started clapping and singing to join him.

It was a wonderful day full of bonding, connecting, laughter, and an overall good experience. Everyone was home safely by 1:30am… and that's before the time change!
