Pastor Search
To the First Baptist Church Family
After eight months of prayer, discussion, interviews, and reference calls, we are pleased to present a candidate for the position of full-time pastor at our church.
Everyone will have a chance to hear the candidate as our guest speaker on Sunday, September 14th at the 10:30am worship service. There will be a meet and greet with the candidate after church that day. The following week, on Sunday, September 21st, there will be a congregational vote after the church service on a motion by the ministerial search committee to approve the candidate.
The candidate's name cannot be released until September 14th and needs to be kept confidential until the day of the vote.
The candidate which the committee is unanimously presenting is a good fit with our congregation, our programs, our acceptance of diversity, and our outreach to the community. They are friendly, outgoing, and they intend to be an active part of our church family. They have considerable years of experience and continue to have energy and innovative ideas. They have experience in both urban and rural churches. They are approachable, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They feel strongly called to minister to our congregation and community.
We thank everyone for being patient with this search process. We are very thankful to the Board of Deacons for their interim leadership and pastoral care during this transitional period.
