As a Christian church, we exist to honour God by helping local people worship God, grow spiritually, serve others, and reach their communities and the world with the message and love of Jesus Christ.

Treats in the Street

First Baptist was a stop on the trick-or-treating route as downtown Simcoe came alive with fun on October 25th from 11:00am. to 2:00pm. The Speech Hens teamed up with the Downtown Simcoe BIA for “Treats in the Street”. A record 60 local businesses were handing out candy, offering family activities, and filling the streets with a Halloween atmosphere.

Jordan and Rachel Lahn gave out candy to about 120 kids of all ages, and handed out nearly 100 flyers advertising for Lighthouse Kids and the Reading Room.

They had a great opportunity to have conversations with families about our programs and programs hosted at our church such as Home for the Night. There was a lot of really positive interactions and we hope to see some of these families again soon.
