This Gathering is intended to provide encouragement and resources to congregations wrestling with how to be fully inclusive of LGBTQ+ persons.
The program will consist of a speaker and a panel. The theme speaker will be an experienced pastor, Rev. Dr. Cal Malena, who will share his personal experience as well as his academic insights gained over many years of study and reflection.
The panel, consisting of church representatives from the Maritimes, Western Canada, and Ontario, will share the experiences of their congregations in becoming welcoming and affirming. A Q&A session will follow each component.
