January Games Night
By Jordan Lahn
January's Games Night was a smashing success, with our biggest turnout yet. There truly was something for everyone as the evening kicked off in the kitchen, where a large group pitched in to bake a delicious cookie pizza topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. In the lounge, kids' game experts Melody and Ezra taught some of their favourite games, while some of the grown-ups launched a crokinole tournament. Meanwhile in the gym the competition got fierce as seasoned veterans and newbies alike took part in the Pickle Ball matches that soon had everyone sweating!
As the night wore on the crowds continued to grow, spawning a lively kids' game of Mouse Trap, a PGA-style tournament of the golf-themed card game Play Nine, and an intense game of Codenames in which the men utterly embarrassed themselves by losing three rounds in a row. As always the warmth and fellowship reminded everyone present how blessed we are to be a part of such a wonderful church family.
