As a Christian church, we exist to honour God by helping local people worship God, grow spiritually, serve others, and reach their communities and the world with the message and love of Jesus Christ.

Simcoe Caring Cupboard

By John Wallace

First Baptist Church is one of the long standing supporters of the Simcoe Caring Cupboard and has a member on their Board of Directors . Established more than 30 years ago it continues to give needed help and support to many local citizens. The funding comes entirely from local donations.

This is a very long standing and regrettably still needed service in our community. Started about three decades ago by four downtown churches to assist the needy in our community. Still running effectively. Still needed, alas. In the month of October, 235 households representing 343 adults and 118 children were helped.

Thank you for your ongoing support of this community need. Our Board of Deacons has suggested that on the first Sunday of each month we try to remember the needy in our community.
