As a Christian church, we exist to honour God by helping local people worship God, grow spiritually, serve others, and reach their communities and the world with the message and love of Jesus Christ.

Youth Group Activities

In March we had pizza and movie night to reconnect for the first time since the fall. It was a great get together. We watched The Passion: New Orleans (2016) which is a modern version of the story of Jesus and His disciples the last week of his life made using young modern actors and secular music. We had some good discussion during and after the taped live performance.

We did a Bible study for Lent using a Bible app. Our youth group consists of four regulars with some friends joining here and there. We continue to encourage them to come out to church.

In April we met at Grant and Marianne Irvin's very cool space in the barn. We played darts, visited, shared stories, and caught up. We finished our Easter segment, reading devotions including a reading on the deep significance of each detail of Jesus' last week on Earth as it relates to scripture prophecy. We came back to our place where we had a guest speaker share his experience with drugs and the negative impact that has had on his life. It was extremely enlightening. It was an emotional and hopefully a very impactful share. The youth had a Q&A with the speaker and we closed in a prayer and the song “Fear, he is a liar”.

Next gathering is May 30th at the Dicksons' home.
